She has NO right to stop you! I know what it's like to be stopped and it hurts. You can't get anymore controlling than to control someone's right to self determination.

Sounds like an emotional threat or some sort of ultimatum. Like if you don't shape up, you're out the door kinda crap. And when you relent or give in, she loves you again because you gave into her demands. It sucks because you're forced to rather than having to think about a solution for yourself. Worldexploder is right, you may have to let them go in order for you to let everything go.
