Gelatin / vegetarian capsules, are they useful?

"Gelatin caps dissolve rapidly (5-10 minutes) and completely in the stomach."
"Vegetable based capsules take 30 minutes to dissolve."

Is this true? Will they be useful for an OD? Does it make a difference? Thank you.
