Wow, that is unusual. Sorry for your losses. Wish I could help you out on how people get through it seemingly without issues but they probably struggled with similar problems to you before finally going. Do you mind me asking how old you are?

Some make it seem so easy to get the energy to act. I can barely move rn and need to follow through very soon. It's difficult.

Sorry to hear that... I think we don't know for sure what were they thinking about and what was their real problem.
I tried to commit suicide before by partial hanging. I didn't even know what it was called at that time.
I didn't research it or plan it or anything like it.
I simply took my belt and attached it to a garment hook. I could feel myself getting close to blacking out, but I felt a sense of sadness at that time and stopped.
Funny thing is, it was so easy to do. No preparations and none of the research that I'm doing now. lol
I tried to do it again last week, using a bed scarf cause I didn't have a belt with me. I failed and couldn't seem to be even close to blacking out. Sometimes I think over-preparation makes things harder.

Can you tell us what do you feel and why do you think you can't ctb ? I know it's pretty hard to get ready for that. Don't blame yourself if you don't have supreme bravery like those friends you lost, all people are different.
I understand how hard it is when you come close to reaching the point of no return. I've tried several times via partial and my survival instincts overpowered my want to die. Even when I did go out one time my belt came undone so it's not an easy thing to do
