We're asleep in life's waiting room

After reading all these miraculous accounts of people being found too early in apartments or hotels, I'm thinking the safest bet is to go to a forest in a remote area of town. I have yet to see a failed attempt in a forest, but let me know if you know of one. Just make sure it's remote, and that people don't usually go there. The area I'm thinking of is in a nice suburban area, I've been in this forest and I couldn't find any signs of people being there. A sign of homeless people is trash, but I couldn't find any pieces of trash anywhere in this place, which gives me assurance. I would feel very comfortable about never being found there if I wanted to. But all I really need is just 36 hours.

Check out this thread:

The police called EVERY hotel in the city to find this guy. Before you choose a spot, you seriously have to consider the lengths people will go to stop you. The police and everyone in your life will MOVE MOUNTAINS to "save" you just in time so you can live the rest of your life out as a vegetable.

Thread of guy getting "saved" from CTB at hotel, and possibly being a vegetable:

Yes, being in a forest probably won't be the most comfortable way to go, but I would gladly sacrifice a little bit of momentary comfort for being extra sure of not failing.

being somewhere in a lonely forest sounds way better to me than a hotel room, no one has to find the dead person or clean any mess..

that's why I'll have a good alibi, and won't send a timed email. I would leave a note near my body. People suck.

Those are the benefits, but it would be nice to lay comfortably in a warm bed on your last day

With all due respect surely there was poor planning involved? Maybe he confided in someone where he would be or left notes?
If he travelled a few miles where there are many hotels, turned mobile phone off and didnt leave a trace of his financial transactions this wouldnt happen? I may be wrong. I would certainly be leaving a sign in the room to protect hotel staff from seeing me. Either way respect to whatever method anybody chooses.

Maybe it's irrational, but although I am likely to do it in a forested area, I also don't want to be maggot food. I want my body to somewhat be dignified after I'm gone.

idk if someone can relate, but a quiet, deep forest, far from any big cities and their traffic noises sounds like a nice place to be:)
if i wouldn't do drowning and sn instead, i would get a few of these hand warmers, put them in all my jacket pockets and enjoy the last moments. i've read sn takes around 12min to make you loose consciousness..

I get that exactly. Most people ctb have really not enjoyed this life and gone through a lot of shit.the least that is deserved is a dignified ending on our own terms, as from experience most people who ctb are nice souls.

Glad I live alone with a nice corner in the yard that's obstructed from any neighbors views.

Where?

Depends on what is normal for your lifestyle. In my case I'll have a bad migraine that day, so people won't expect to hear from me.

The 1st example sounds like the guy tipped someone off that he was going to commit suicide. The police will not call every hotel for no reason.
The 2nd example is just poor planning. People will notice you hanging off a balcony....

These are just bad examples.

I'll have a timed email sent to my parents with a map of my location in 36 hours. Don't wanna decomp too much either.

Careful with that timed email, totally screwed me over with my last attempt by like 1 hour.

Damn so much extra planning has to go in just to be left alone long enough. Hell im not even sure at this point best option depending on my method. If it's at home it's gonna have to be quick or middle of the night.

Can you show me even one example of someone being interrupted in a forest?

Yeah, but remember this is a serious and life altering event, with horrific consequences if things don't go right. I'm going to make sure to plan accordingly
