first drink as 21 year old?

wuzzurp guys i'm 21 now (yaayyyyyy)
i've been trying to research stuff about alcohol since i was raised in a anti-alcohol religious family. i've never drank under 20 and get surprised when people say they have. is it better to go to a bar or buy alcohol to drink at home? i'm really socially anxious, but i've been thinking about going to a bar in the city that's nearby an art museum. i'm trying to find one that isn't too loud. i hate night clubs or raves and freak out.

i don't really know where to post this, so i decided to go on sasu instead of reddit. my friends don't drink, so they can't really help. i've been kind of depressed all day, so i've kept my birthday under wraps to most of my friends because i hate talking about it.

I don't really like alcohol, but imo I always opt to do it wherever you're most comfortable generally, for me that's at home in my room.
idk though I'm not a very exciting person lol.

Happy 21st birthday I think I said this before another thread as well, but what the hell I'll say it again. I was fascinated with alcohol when I was younger, but as I got older, it just didn't entice me as much. I still have never tried it despite being 29. My twin sister has loads of times. It's always funny when I've seen my sister drunk try to convince me that she's not drunk. I don't know why she tries to do that. I just find it amusing like he needs to not be drunk in front of her brother

i figure that if i'm killing myself soon i should try it, even though i might not like it. i think that i'm the kind of person that could go my whole life without drinking alcohol, but i just feel like doing it because i'm old enough now. it mostly feels lonely not being able to celebrate or exchange gifts with someone i stopped talking to 2 months ago.

I never really enjoy bars unless there's some kind of game (e.g., pool, pinball, DDR machine) but it can definitely be a fun atmosphere :3 if you like live music you can find a show near you and grab a drink :D defo bring hearing protection tho shit is loud

it might be worth trying something that could be fun/exciting if there's a likelihood it could be your last chance to do something like that.

I understand the decision paralysis, I think I talked to you about that a bit on one of my first posts here when it came to struggling to eat anything(thanks again for helping with that btw)
