Slash came to the studio my band and I rehearse at. 8 hours of unloading and setting up for his crew just for a 2 hour gear and sound check hahaha. One of his staff did give away "Slash" picks which was neat...

I would have loved to be there. Back in the days when my mind wasn't so screwed I used to collect guitar picks. Though I can't play a single instrument :D

Oh it was cool being around someone famous, my guitarist took a picture of the security footage where he waved at Slash and Slash waved back haha.

I have a small collection of picks too! Although I play bass so they're hardly ever used... I'd encourage you to still try and learn one, it helps with my mentality sometimes and it keeps me busy. It's never too late and you're free to learn at your own pace!

The 1 and only concert I've ever been to in my life was a Beach Boys concert that took place right after a Cleveland Indians baseball game I was working at. It must have been in 1991

First: For Today on their farewell tour, Silent Planet and Norma Jean were also there. Amazing first concert experience, i got to crowdsurf 4 times and mosh for the first time
Last: Silent Planet and Comrades. Super small venue, i got the mic put in front of me several times, the bassist of Silent Planet gave me his pick, I got to talk to the bassist of Comrades after their set and she was so nice and super cool, and I got to talk to the vocalist of Silent Planet after the show and he remembered me from the first concert! He gave me a hug and was so so nice and sweet, I bought a hoodie from him and left feeling so happy. I also talked to one of the local bands, Days Gone By, and bought a shirt from them cause they put on a super good show.
