Finally Contacted the Newspaper Today!

I have finally contacted my local newspaper today to report how I have been failed and treated appallingly by mental health services, when pleading for help.
After explaining my story, to the young lady on the other end of the phone, I was informed that the newspaper has received numerous calls and emails from people, with a similar story about mental health services in my local area. I was told that a reporter would be in contact. I hope so and I hope the reporter, after hearing my account, thinks I have a story worth printing.
I kind of see this as my way of naming and shaming these services before I ctb. I'm tired of reading online or watching news reports about another poor soul, taking their own live, because of inadequate support received from mental health services. And tired of the same response from such services, after an inquiry/investigation, that improvements will be made so this doesn't happen again. Bulls**t!

I emailed loads of news/media outlets last year about the way I was treated too but nothing ever came of it. People get treated like shit all the time and they don't bat an eyelid, even if you have proof in black and white.

I emailed them first, but thought fuck it, I'm going to phone them instead. Glad I did. If I am lucky that my story goes to press, I will upload it to this site.

I think because I've got to the point now, where enough is enough, and wanting to get the story out there while I'm still alive, I think I'll be calm so as to explain everything clearly and make my point. People need to know the truth, rather than after a person has ended their own life, and the promise is always the same, "improvements have been made." Which we all know on this site is bulls**t!
