My relationship with my dad is a bad one. He is an alcoholic and he was physically abusive when I was a child. My Mom was just amazing though, I was very lucky.

I have an amazing Brother but I rarely see him.

Strained! Found out I'm the way I am because of my dad. Don't really have any respect left for him and its the one time I need the support of my family. Im fucked

It's good. Well except for my sister who's kind of a miss-perfect type and seems to shit on me unless I'm doing everything the way she would do it. And too bad I wound up being the genetic dumping ground for just about every mental illness floating about my family. But other than that no complaints.

Anyone estranged from their family? They're still my next of kin as I've no one else. I just can't bear to think of them circling like vultures to get their hands on my money and things (because that's what they're like). I suppose it won't matter if I'm gone.

I've had a tumultuous relationship with my parents, to say the least. I get along with my mother alright for now, but it's always like this before it gets bad again. My father and I only get along, when our only correspondence is through emails. We're too different to get along otherwise. My mother and I are very different too, but we're able to put our differences aside more so. I have nothing in common with either of them, but I make do because they're all I have.

My father is dead, and it was the best news I got in my entire life. He was an alcoholic and a parasite to my mother. He had also narcissistic tendencies. I'm living with my mom, she is stubborn and either too stupid to acknowledge my situation or she intentionally ignores it. I've talked to here at some point and it only felt like she blamed me for feeling that way and kinda ruining Christmas (it was December the 22nd). I have a sister who is good-willed but too dumb to help and a brother who I rarely talk to. He is nice but anarchist and love conspiracy theories so I can talk to him for 10 minutes before he starts saying"the government did this and the government hid that".
