How do I make my ctb easier for my family? I know that it is a silly question to ask but they love me so much I don't know how they will deal with me being gone.

I dont believe that there is any right answer. I still ask myself this, and know that there are things I can to reduce the burden, but not much to reduce any pain I will inflict. Some actions I have taken:
  • Last Will & Testament
  • Prepaid Cremation
  • Letters to those closest to me
  • Suicide plan that prevents loved ones from seeing / finding my body
  • CTB planned after the suicide exclusion period of my life insurance policy.

Good suggestions. I'll have to make sure I take these steps before CTB. It's my mess to clean up as much as I can.

I like that line, and there's definitely truth to it.

There is certainly a responsible and an irresponsible way to go about CTBing.

I couldn't agree more. My pain is bad but I do not wish pain on my family. Plus taking all the steps you mentioned helps show that I made a rational choice as opposed to an instant choice.

It will be ideal to make sure they have space to grief in peace and good support system that can make them accept and respect your decision. Just don't let them fall into suicide prevention stigma.

Probably buy them a ticket for resort vacation after a while, eh

I personally think that writing a note would be a good idea as it would give those left behind some closure and would mean that they are not left with unanswered questions. I think that some sort of explanation is better than leaving those left behind with no answers as to why the person has decided to leave. Apart from that I think that it would be difficult to ease the pain for those left behind, but the way that I see it grief and loss are inevitable in life. Eventually someday we will all die and lose everything and be forgotten about. Best wishes.
