Experience in overcoming SI?

If there's anyone who went and attempted fully but failed for whatever reason, I'd like to find out how you felt during the time. How did you overcome survival instinct? What method did you use? I tried with partial but I get uncomfortable and bail out.

Tylenol overdose. I realised it's my time to ctb. There was no SI, and I just took them. I think overdose it not a scary method, at least for me.

What is it with SI that makes people back away from ctb during that moment?
