Mental hospitals do sound like horrible places to me, and it must had been awful having your ctb method taken away from you. Other people really should have no right to do such a thing, we all deserve the option of ways to exit this life, we shouldn't have to feel so trapped here and it's cruel trying to force people to endure a life that they never even asked for against their wishes. But it's understandable wishing to be free from all of the suffering, I hope that you find what you are looking for. It sounds awful what you are going through and I get that it's so tiring having to continue to endure an existence that just gets worse and worse as time goes on.

For me, I don't mind mental illness hospital that much. I did not get better or worse there. But I can understand for some people that probably not a best option to stay.

I have started apply CTB since last year Aug. But my psychiatrist think I am not ill enough. 😞

I also don't mind psychiatric units In hospital's, for myself personally I feel calm amidst all the chaos, which probably sounds crazy but seeing and feeling everyone else's chaos makes me feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be. I generally feel in those times I've been sectioned that I have been taken out of my sad depressing life and I'm just in limbo, so the life I came from doesn't exist for the moment.
But going back to your experience, I've also been on lithium in a psychiatric hospital in Paris, and it is the worst medication I have ever been on, i felt like a zombie, like I wasn't in control at all, and my body ached constantly, especially my legs, I'd be laying on the bed and my legs would just feel so restless, so I'd get up and walk but I was so zoned out that I wanted to lay down again, it was an endless cycle.. I will never take lithium again, they would physically have to restrain me and force me.

I've taken Lithium for over 30 years. Lithium is not for suicidal thoughts or depression. It is prescribed to people who are bipolar. It specifically addresses the manic phase. Typically people who are bipolar and take Lithium feel as though the "creative" part of them is dulled. It requires regular bloodwork as long as you take it. I hope this was helpful.
