Protesting the conditions of an inhumane world

Sometimes, if you own a pet, there may come a day where your pet will grow old, and may contract a disease. He or she could potentially be in such great pain, and eventually you may come to make the choice to have him or her put to sleep. It's a bitter ending to a life, but the animal is suffering.

However, there exists no such clinics for humans.

In the 1973 science fiction film Soylent Green, Sol Roth goes to a government clinic to get euthanasia. He's shown films of beautiful forests, fields and oceans with animals with animals at bliss, before being tranquilly put to sleep.

Many of us are suffering and could use that, but that isn't the case. Why don't humans have euthanasia clinics like there are for animals? We can suffer too.

Why do we need euthanasia clinics if there are plenty of battlefields to die fighting for your country, but before that we must pay taxes.

I can't bring myself to fight for a regime that actively tries to make my life a living hell. Not to mention I wouldn't be eligible for the military even if I wanted to.

There are countries that won't ask you and you will have to go to army, even female.

I don't live in one of those places.
Yes, but other people do. Honestly it doesn't matter what place, humans are resources for government.

Because fighting for your country implies that you will have to be forced to hurt/kill other people on a battlefield. Otherwise you don't kill anyone but someone shoots/stabs you and you die from the wound. Which is not a very peacefull way to go.

Its unfortunate. I'm disposable anyway in their eyes, why not just get the job done?

I guess there just isn't enough money to be made off of Euthanasia on demand clinics.

I completely agree that humans should not be forced to suffer. I hope in the future there is a way that we won't have to.

well, in some places there are. I think in 50 years or so they will be much more common, the debate is becoming more popular. As modern health care is improving, I think there are going to be more older people speaking out in favour of choosing when to die, with mental illness it will always be a bit of a taboo, at least for the foreseeable future. It's a real shame that people who go through with it have to do so in secrecy.

Where I live they don't have clinics per se but they do have euthanasia for terminally ill people. It sucks that only terminally ill people can access but I expect over time it will be broadened to people experiencing untreatable pain etc and eventually most people wanting to die will be allowed to use it.
