I have started drinking enery drinks lately (Hell, Burn, Monster). They have as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, and they have vitamins, Taurin, Ginseng etc. as ingredients. Yet they are almost universally considered as being unhealthy.

How healthy/unhealthy do you consider them to be?

@Aap tagging you because you are the most knowledgeable person in this area here.

Another fuel for my copium are cigarettes, which I should really ditch, along with binge eating.

You're drinking some weak energy drinks. An energy drink should have about three times the amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, and they're easy to drink in large amounts due to the mild taste. That's what makes them unhealthy.

I had 500 ml of Monster at work the other day and I could compare that feeling to being high on a low dose of amphetamines. Me gusta. A coworker thought I was having a beer when she saw the can, lol. I told her that in a few weeks I'll probably come to work with a bottle of gin. :smiling:

I try not to have them too often because I wouldn't want to dampen their effects by making my body get used to them but favorite energy drinks are the Starbucks double/triple shot ones or like the Java Monster drinks.

I also recently tried this drink that I randomly spotted. The flavor caught my intrigue because I normally like orange soda. I think this one was very effective too because I stayed up for a good 28 hours without feeling too tired.

Ice cream for breakfast. Kind of like cold water therapy. And then a hot drink of coffee/tea once you're done shivering a while.

Because of me being a little down or tired while working I started drinking Energy drinks (mainly 0.5-1 Monster, Rockstar or 28Black) again as well.
I tried not to start drinking them again because I had an addiction a few years back before my physical condition got worse.
I have spastic muscle cramps and general fatigue and I kid you not when I say that ever since I started drinking them (3 weeks ago) my symptoms lessened by a lot during the day.
During the night I still have pains and sometimes flair-ups but that's the only thing left.
So weird because I always thought they were unhealthy and basically "the devil". Don't know whether it's the caffeine, taurin or l-carnitine (or a placebo??) that does the trick...all I know is it works wonders for me right now.

This. It's feels like you're almost high and overly stimulated/motivated to get your day on. I like it at the moment. lol

That's definitely the better alternative.
I like both though.
The "bad" ones and the juices, haha.

I prefer the "bad" ones, lol. But I am naturally lazy, so making juices/smoothies was a habit that did not catch on for me.

I like it too, because if helps and I do not have to look for street dealers to get a high, lol, plus energy drinks are affordable. Usually I prefer CNS depressants, but legal ones do nothing for me. Valerian, Valium, Ambien do literally nothing for me.

Me too...I'm generally not into cooking/preparing anything too complicated except for opening up packages or eating simple meals.
But the @DocNo has really gotten me to look into the benefits of juicing.
Will give it a try, some extra vitamins haven't hurt anybody yet.
Started cleaning up my diet during those last month since joining here and it made a big difference already (skin, mood even weight-wise)

I eat like a gluttonous pig, so I am hoping to make some changes in my diet. I like to eat food from cans, lol, but I get very creative with it.

This is a meal I am proud off. Baked beans, tuna, olives, mushrooms + crackers, cold cuts (chorizo and prosciutto) and parmesan. Heavenly.

i am also lazy as fuck. but it helped me a lot with my migraine headaches and also balanced my acid/alkaline balance. since then my stomach can much better digest coffee and painkiller meds. before that my stomach sometimes felt bad afterwards.

now i rarely juice but i kept my vegetable breakfast by eating every morning my 3-5 carrots ^^

I have had my binge-phases as well.
But I always have been strong willed enough to reach whatever bodily goal I set for myself (for some reason).
What helped me was to stop eating all "really bad" food for around 3 weeks and actually go on a small detox for my taste buds (only pure veggies, legumes, fruits, proteins) and afterwards incorporating stuff I liked back.

That being said I don't think cans are necessarily bad, beans are actually really nutritious and filling. And I rely on ready-meals with veggies or beans/chickpeas a lot as well.

I already commented in the "food post" thread that I liked your meal,
I think. I also still eat some fish and cheese from time to time.

No food rules apply anyways though when being high, haha.

@mahakaliSS_MahaDurga the only "unhealthy" thing in energy drinks are the calories/sugar. Caffeine is a mixed bag that has multiple benefits in moderation and detrimental effects if you have high blood pressure or just simply consume too much to the point it raises BP to an unhealthy level.

yeah. not that bad. i am able to keep most of the time my food discipline. and some parts are easy to replace. i eat a lot of peanuts and cashews and since then i don't really want chocolate. it's a really good substitute and healthier ^^

Stay out of my threads and spread your saccharine bullshit elsewhere.

This person sent messages to mods asking them to ban me before we even clashed about anything. I want to be left alone by this person and not see her in my threads. Funny that the severe emotional trauma she got from my "death threats" is not preventing her from writing in my threads. I do not want to get any more warnings or bans because of her, so I am asking the mods to ask her to refrain from posting in my threads. Thank you.

The best cope is being completely delusional.

"I know for a fact that my suffering will pay off after my death :ahhha:", "I chose this life before being born :pfff:", "I'll get a girlfriend any day now :pfff:", "I'll find a job that I love :pfff::pfff::pfff::pfff::pfff:", "God is on my side :haha:", "A handful of people owning literally everything in a couple of decades will not affect me :pfff::pfff::pfff:", "Technological progress just means better video-games, nothing to worry about :))", "We can just create more resources to accommodate the increasing demands of an expanding population :pfff::pfff::pfff:", "climate change won't really have a big effect on me", etc.

I drink copious amounts of Coke zero, because I'm too impatient to make tea/coffee and then have to wait for it to cool. Last time I had an enregy drink I didn't want to eat anthing for over a day and with my metabolism I kinda have to avoid that.

My eating is alot more healthy but I do eat WAY too much fruit and veg. I've been called a swarm of locusts before lol. In general I probably eat alot compared to my size but I still just young enough for it not to catch up with me atm.

I pretty much know that world is going to shit, but I have learned not to tie my sense of wellbeing to other people/events I have no control over. I daydream about solutions to the problems you mentioned and I find joy in that.

The amount of laughing emojis in your post is a bit much for a suicide forum, imo. I do not think that my suffering will "pay off" after my death but I am hoping that my death and the things I will do before I die will have an impact that I desire. Which will make my life more valueable at least in my own eyes.
