I have not been employed for a year or so due to mental health problems. I've been doing better and have tried to apply to various roles but there's one thing in common for them all: I never hear back. Fast food? No response. Retail? No response. Substitute teaching? No response. It's honestly annoying. There are some things I know as to why.
There are very limited roles in my small town and I have very minimal experience. I honestly don't want employment but I know I need something for a resume and money wouldn't hurt. I hope if I do get a call back soon, I don't hate the job.
I'm in a privileged position as a college student living with my mom but I still will need to get some form of employment before I graduate. I got 3 years or so until then. If I don't get a call back, I can at least try to apply for a work-study job or since my university is in a much larger town, I'll get a job there. I guess I'll wait and see how everything works out
