Life does love to torment us in this way, making us sad and tempting us with pleasure and happiness. But it never seems to come, always just out of reach. It's so common to be upset in this world, for reasons outside of our control yet entirely our problem. Death seems so much nicer, away from the taunting of life and forever at peace. I hope that you don't have to feel this way for much longer.

It's true that existing really can be torture, of course I'm wishing to be gone every waking moment and it's undeniable that the only comfort lies in the thought of death. This cruel world offers no real relief from suffering, so it doesn't surprise me that so many of us wish for all this to be over.
