I saw the vegan thread and it made me wonder what kind of eaters we have on here. Please comment if you'd like, if there is a specific reason for your choice, if you feel your type of diet maybe has any impact, or made a difference to your wellbeing, mood, or add any favourite foods, whatever. ChatGPT helped with the options, I hope it includes most of our habits. I searched and didn't see a similar poll, apologies if I'm repeating a question.

About me, I'm vegan since 2015, although I feel a WFPB lifestyle is the healthier way to go, just more challenging to follow. I'm not sensitive about being vegan, so please feel free to speak your minds and share the usual jokes. For me it was a choice which started out as vegetarian because of animal cruelty and later progressed to veganism because for health reasons in general. But I honestly believe that everyone can just eat whatever they want. My favourite food … sweet potato, peanut butter, oh and anyone here who likes Nattō?

I am a vegetarian because I think it's the perfect mix between not too much animal cruelty (hypothetically of course :/) and still providing essential nutrients from animal products! Though I still tolerate to consume animals if I really have to, like if a pill I need to take is made out of animal gelatin. I have never tried natto but would love to! Unfortunately there's none where I live and don't want to pay 15€ to have it shipped

I am pescatarian but I rarely eat fish anyways and would want to cut it our entirely but can't really do that when my mum still wants me to eat some sort thing with high protein. Everything else is vegetarian and that was easy for me to change my diet to as it was easy just removing the meat part of meals and that I don't care for the taste of meat. I did this cus I don't want to lessen my support of animal cruelty through having meat as their suffering matters to me too. I wish I could become vegen but my whole diet would have to change a lot of my diet is reliant on diary products especially as nearly all of the liquid I drink is milk but I it feels too painful to have to have to change so much of what I consume, especially when things like milk are a comfort to me, partially cus my autism. I feel selfish for this.

I know, gelatin is everywhere, I was so happy to discover vegan friendly gummy candy not too long ago, some things are just impossible to find sometimes. I wish natto could be made more known and available to other countries, it's so healthy, even if very smelly, I love it. Hope you can try it one day.

You are not selfish at all, comfort food is important, I hope you like milkshakes too. I like this very nice coconut milk type ice cream I found the other day, it makes me feel better too.

i do keto for the most part, not to necessarily induce ketosis or whatever but carbs are usually calorie bombs and I try to stay below 1000 calories a day

Love your doodling, and I like cauliflower too by the way. Must say I was never big on fish either, even in my omnivore days, totally understand the pickiness.

I don't know much about keto, but 1000 sounds very low?
