Any thoughts on drowning / dying in the ocean? I used to live near a river in the PNW, and there was always warnings in spring that the water would be too cold to swim in, that you'd freeze and slip under the water unable to swim. I was reading in near freezing temperatures, you could die as soon as 15 minutes. I imagine the numbness from the cold would be a sort of peaceful way out if you traveled up north enough and just simply, went for a swim. Thoughts?

The water in your lungs would be excruciating regardless.

Yeah perhaps, but if it's just 15 minutes, not the worst compared to how far I've gotten in life in general. I guess I'm just imagining it being a fool proof method; sure you could be rescued, but assuming you do it stealthily enough, get a tiny boat you can get some distance from the coast with, in the middle of the night when no one is around. Once you're out far enough, cause the boat to sink and no SI is going to reverse course. Water so cold you could try to swim but you'd never make it back to the coast.

Honestly the ocean/big body of water terrifies me so that took drowning out for me.

I get that, but I'm kind of picturing some unoccupied coastline, ocean dark as the void that calls me to it.

if you think you can tough it through the pain of drowning then go ahead, but there are probably plenty of easier and much more painless methods out there.

One of the worst ways to go is my opinion.

Yeah it's an awful way to go.
People don't think about the reality of it
They just think it's a simple straightforward thing and it isn't unfortunately
