1) What is the difference between the first and second, is there any discomfort, pain? What happens after losing consciousness?

2) Is there any evidence that this is a good method based on video or paper results?

3) Where is the best place to headshot? They say the temple is not the best choice, and also what caliber is more suitable if it is a pistol or a shotgun?

Thank you for your attention.

I don't think i am allowed to recommend you a method or help you choose a method. I think its against the rules so thats up to you. But if i had to choose i would go with a gunshot to the head because its the most effective method statistically. I don't think there is any pain if you do it correctly and good spot i would choose to ctb in would be a place where im not going to be found in a while, Because if i not die immediatly when i shoot myself in the head i would probably bleed to death if nobody finds me in time. Here on ss people say that you should only use 9mm guns or above and with revolver only .38 special or above for ctb so thats what i would do if i had a gun. But shotgun would be the best alternative i have heard with about 98% successrate. You can look around here on ss there is a megathread for gunshots to head method. Be aware that gunshot method also need planning and aiming on the right spot. People survive gunshots to the head more often than you think and the consequenses will probably be very severe if one fail with this method. Please know that im not recommending this method to you or anyone. Also know that I am NOT encouraging ANYONE to do this or any other method. i don't wanna break the rules. If this post is against the rules i will gladly take it down.

I read the whole article and learned a lot for myself, but still a couple of questions remained
1) They didn't write here which pistol is better suited for 9mm or 45ACP
2) They also wrote that the temple and chin are not the best idea, but what then remains, the back of the head or the neck?
If you follow the recommendations in the article, then it turns out that it is best to use the 12 gauge from Maverick, aiming at the medulla oblongata

Yea I don't know which pistols are the best. I think they mean just any 9mm pistol or larger will work. For revolver i don't know. But yes a shotgun would be the best choice of gun.

If you are talking about where to aim in the head then, they said the brainstem is the best. If someone shoot themselves in the brainstem they die instantly. If i would have a gun i would probably put the barrel of the gun in my mouth and aim for the brainstem. You can scroll down under the mainpost in the thread if you didn't already cuz lower down in the thread people discuss where the brainstem is and how to aim for it.

Also about your other methods, tbh i don't exactly know what the dry ice method is so i have to look into that but i think the insert gas method could be a pretty good method. But still i would choose a gun over the insert gas method easily. Really don't know much about the insert gas method either soo Yeah.

Dry ice as an anti freeze? That is going to be an excruciating long process pain.

Is there evidence? What's behind these conclusions? Do you also think the same about inert gas?

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. Inert gases are nitrogen, helium, argon, and some others that are less accessible.
