Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you are assuming every overdose was on purpose/intentional then you'd be correct. Regardless, I doubt that's the case and it's unfortunate to see that many people suffer from drug abuse

I know people in pain that have been unfairly accused as drug seekers because of these new laws. I'm lucky enough to not have a problem with physical pain, but they need to look at every situation differently. I worked with mediations before and I was surprised how many pain killers were used. But drug abuse is also a sign of trauma, but no one wants to talk about the messed up stuff causing people to actually abuse drugs as well. Seeing things through both sides is better than law makers that have 0 interaction with the stuff they are talking about. Journalism has even had me frustrated to a degree, I've worked in healthcare for 6+ years and the assumptions made for all sort of conditions are terrible. Plus they just wanna criminalize more stuff to put the smaller people in prison, cause they punish the users instead of getting to the root of the problem.
It's weird to see overdosing preferred over guns but it also makes sense as far as peacefulness. I had a gun and couldn't do it and switched, I wonder if this also accounts for other ways of overdosing? Ctb statistics are already skewed so I could see these numbers not being completely accurate.

Could it not be that some of them were just wanting to get high and misjudged the amount required? Or had no idea it was cut with fentanyl and was too powerful for them compared to the shit purity they were used to?
Not all drug overdoses are people wanting to die. Substance abuse teams here are now giving out Naloxone injections to opiate addicts to have on their person, so that if they accidentally overdose their friends or family can administer it quickly without having to wait on paramedics. The point is some overdoses are accidental and not intentional.

Would love love love to get my hands on some fentanyl. Only thing I can think of is to drive to the bad part of town and see if any dealers are selling it. But way too risky.

Same here. I was going to risk getting scammed on the darkweb a few times first then hit the streets. It's kind of funny you mentioned it being dangerous. I thought the same thing until my pessimistic side butted in with "What could be more dangerous than suicide?" :)
Having once been a dope fiend I disagree but in the US, known suicides outnumber known homicides and traffic accident deaths combined. Not that that's surprising but it says a lot on the surface at least.

There is some accidental overdose. Most of it is suicide. America society is nuts. So many preventable deaths from so many causes. It's like a death machine. Not even war has killed so many.
