I don't plan to take enough painkillers to make me od on just them because truthfully that sounds worse to me than drowning. but i'll likely take enough incase of a headache or something coming through from thinking too much about it.

Drowning kinda sucks too but my options are very limited. Thoughts?

Regular painkillers won't help much! in the best case you are deeply unconscious already when your head/face is below the water surface. Either you try SWB or you find really strong sedatives.

Alcohol might have less chance of vomiting or panicking. It's also easy to get.

Sick of comments like this telling people what not to do…….how the hell would you know what drowning feels like? Have you drowned and come back to life ? No. You have no idea if its awful or not.

Just tell me, what way to die in your eyes isn't "awful"?

I know. My options are limited where I'm at though unfortunately.

No need to be upset here! I understand comments like those can be frustrating for some, but I'm sure the commenter had good intention and just wanted to warn me 🤍 hope this reply finds you well

You can cause fainting by removing oxygen from your lungs right before drowning, then you shouldn't feel anything. Oxygen can be displaced by other gas like canned difluoroethane, tetrafluoroethane, propane, butane, or isobutane. If you can't find a proper canned gas, you can consider inhaling hydrogen produced by a mixture of aluminium, water and a lye (NaOH or KOH) and collected in a rubber balloon.
