  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I have considered a variety of methods through the past few years and have always remained consistent that I want to maintain myself as much as possible so that I can be displayed. That has left me mostly with drugs or drowning as a potential means as I do not trust myself with any sort of asphyxiation techniques and CO methods seem simple, but I worry I would overthink it and mess it up still. I thought of this method for drowning a while back and I feel like it is fool proof but I wanted some opinions on it.

1. Don a weight vest and use a row boat to paddle to the middle of a lake.
2. Handcuff opposite wrists and ankles together.
3. Fall overboard.

I obviously know that step 3 would be the hardest to commit to, but assuming someone took the first two steps, do you think success would be likely? The handcuffing method would be to prevent any chance of being able to swim back up and the vest is obviously to keep the person submerged.

I think success would be likely but have you realized how painful that would be? Do you really want to suffer so much before dying? I'm really scared of that. I guess you have much more guts than me.

I prefer more peaceful methods but well, wish you the best and lots of peace!

I have to admit, I know that I will be terrified of it, and with my anxiety, I am worried about committing but I am also worried about fucking up more peaceful methods, whether it is obtaining the materials for them, or the actual process (such as with CO methods)

Haven't you thought about jumping off a bridge into the cold water with a backpack of stones or something like that? I think there will be anaphylactic shock and it will be more difficult to save yourself.

Have you ever seen videos of ISIS drowning people?

They put them in cages. Then slowly descend the cage until it's underwater.

You can hear their screams even underwater. They're so desperate they deform their heads through the metal bars to try and escape.

The brain is highly attuned to the experience of drowning.

It'll be the worst anxiety and fear you've ever experienced.

I wouldn't be surprised if you managed to swim upwards and literally break your arms as you scream for help.

Your brain will literally let loose every single possible source of energy.
