My main concerns with this method, apart from finding a suitable hotel room to do it in, are turning over while unconscious and the noise from potential anoxic convulsions.
I'm considering doing this in a natural area, but the logistics of getting there and finding a remote enough spot have me worried it's not realistic or practical, especially with the ever-present risk of intervention regardless. Because of the privacy, a hotel room seems more failsafe if I can optimize the setup. Hopefully, I can find one with relatively soundproof walls, but just in case:
Would it be excessive to line the tub with thin (i.e., won't significantly displace volume) a water-resistant soundproofing material?
And do you think the best position is kneeling with head down?
Lastly, do you think that ankle weights on the neck would work?
