Driving very far away to ctb

I plan on driving 3+ hours away from home, booking a hotel and ctb with SN this week. I figure I'm so far away, my likelyhood of being saved is very little, and it will take some time before anyone even realizes I'm gone. Sad that my friends and family will have to go through the anguish of noticing I'm gone and not knowing where I am, and holding onto hope that I'm alive. Wondering if there is something I could do to let them know before I leave without giving it away. But I still take solace in the fact that I'll be gone and won't have to deal with any of the emotions anymore.

I don't think there's anything you can do before you leave without compromising your plan and risking being 'saved'. When law enforcement ID you they'll inform your family. If you want to speed up the process, you could leave your name and parents contact details written down in the hotel room

You could send a delayed email/text or even a letter; there's many options of that sort. That's very considerate of you to think of others!

I want to do this too because I want to go somewhere nicer than where I am to die and I like traveling on road trips. But I don't want to make it complicated for my family to get my body home. Will it cost them a lot of money if I'm three hours way or more? I already am concerned with funeral costs.

Funeral directors in your home town will go and collect your body from the mortuary from whichever place you ctb and yes it increases funeral costs .

Nobody has any idea, but if I go missing for a long time, people might hope I'm alive.

Good to know . Only reason I asked is because others have had their attempts thwarted, when you are so preoccupied with the task at hand it's easy to slip up through I have no idea how the police found them , possibly cell phone location or anpr police vehicle read your plates and location .

Yeah I've given zero indication that I'm planning to do this. My only concern is one person who got found because a neighbor at the hotel heard crashing, but they also only drank a few sips.

Thats what Im gonna do, my ctb spot is 200 km away from my hometown. I need 3 hours on 2 trains to get there. Im going again in february when Im out of the nuthouse. Dont wanna disturb people and dont want to be disturbed myself. Less mess to deal with, and also that bridge is far taller than the one here. Wish you luck with your plans
