The hotel I've booked is now telling me that they can't guarantee me a ground floor room., I wanted a ground floor room so I could lie in the recovery position on the floor and not be heard by those below. Do you think a room that's not on the ground floor would still be okay or will I be heard? I will be lying on the bathroom floor and playing music. Thanks.

Depends what sort of hotel it is. If its a b and b then you need to be careful but if its a big budget chain you'll be fine. Hotels are built to stop noise spreading

It's a cheap chain hotel. Not a b and b but still cheap.

I still can't imagine that anyone would hear you? What noise will you be making laying on the floor anyway?

I'm worried that if you play music, someone would complain. I also think ground floor is louder than other floors

You can cover your mouth if you are worried

I'm going to do it at 7pm so I think the music will be ok.
