Yes, there's many succesful cases recorded and documented. There's a thread here with a collection of videos by Evelyn, if you can bring yourself to watch them. I watched two and it was shockingly quick for them.

The method is easy in theory, but the details can ruin everything. You need: strong rope and anchor point, knowing the location of the carotids, make sure you won't be found too soon, enough willpower to overcome survival instinct.

Only if failure happens due to lack of knowledge and technique. Many of us need to try dozens of times to get it right, some are lucky. But once you do it right, you're very likely dead.

My biggest fear would be that while being unconscious I'd make those movements and with them I'd change my position and also the position of the noose so that I'd end up not constricting the arteries completely therefore a little bit would still go to the brain and I'd survive therefore I see no other option but to do full hanging which will be very difficult but I definitely wanna die and make sure that after I did it I will never return to this horrible world .
