I am obviously referring to myself, as well as other notable users on here as well… looking at my guy @noname223. πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ πŸ€€πŸ™ƒ (Btw I really enjoy his posts! Keep it up!)

My honest opinion, as arrogant as it may sound, this forum has a tendency to get stale, repetitive and uninteresting. Many other users have also reported this. If you simply seek an echo chamber of ctb and doomerism, thats totally fine. As I've made clear since the beginning, I am a visitor to this site and I support your right to choose, even though I don't personally want to ctb. I'm not here to proselytize about that and I never have on this forum. Some of you have noticed that I never post on the ctb forums. Frankly, I wish there was more discussion in the Politics&Philosophy and in OffTopic sections and from more users. πŸŽ‚

I don't think my posts are special or intellectual or whatever snobbery but I do try to make them interesting. To give the site something to talk about. Whether it's the history of ice, their favorite candy to discuss or the nature of black holes and reality, or running a hedge fund.

I do however wish you all well and sympathize with your pain. Even if I don't understand it myself, I do sympathize. I'm sorry for whatever each of you are going through.

I honestly try to post threads that are interesting or at least thought provoking or at the very least entertaining.

I'm asking this out of curtesy because I deeply respect this forum and its users. So does mass posting bother you? (Me or in general)

- Cheers! πŸ₯‚

Doesn't bother me. If other people are bothered by it, all they gotta do is set mass posters and whatnot to ignore. Easy as pie.

Nah. But then again, I don't get annoyed that easily. As long as there is coherent & interesting content to me, I don't mind seeing many posts. What would annoy me slightly is if someone posted many many rant threads over & over instead of just keeping all of the rants in one thread or spacing them out more if they're different threads. But eh I can just scroll past that so it's always only as annoying as the time it takes to scroll past it lol.

As long as threads are posted in the appropriate sections, I don't have an issue with them. I'm just concerned about discussions that become overly politically or socially provocative to the point of feeling like ragebait and creating unnecessary division. I've noticed this happening more frequently over the past two months. This isn't Reddit, it's a support forum for people who are deeply struggling and/or suicidal.

If someone does choose to create threads of that nature, I would kindly ask that they post them in the Politics & Philosophy section. This helps prevent people in the Off-topic section from being unnecessarily triggered.

Just my humble opinion.

Nope- that's when the 'ignore' button is useful. We aren't all going to like one another's posts here. We aren't all going to warm to one another's interests or perspectives.

It also doesn't require huge effort to simply skip over threads we know we're likely to find boring/ triggering.

I actually get the sense we have both triggered each other recently so- I'll be utilising that feature I think and, would request that you do the same.

You may find threads boring but I doubt many people appreciate hearing comments that their threads are boring or repetitive. Personally, I think it's better to either put that person on 'ignore' or to try to ignore their threads- if you don't rate them.

I also find it slightly strange when people criticize the forum for not being entertaining enough. Not being depressing enough, kind of- not being pro- life enough- although, that one could be said to have real life ramifications.

We're not content creators though! That's not the main function of the forum. Personally, I do actually appreciate people who create interesting threads. It's great distraction. I will actually miss your threads but then, I think it will result in a more harmonious experience because I get the sense we are triggering one another. All the best to you though.

True...

I admit I sometimes try to be a content creator, by replying to content I find interesting, and occasionally coming up with entertaining stuff like:

For long-form story content, @leloyon , @damienlerone03 and sometimes even @Unbearable Mr. Bear are some cool creators to check out.

I think it is not recommended to ask the community whether they dislike your behavior or whether they are annoyed by you. There will always be people who see this as opportunity to shit on you. Maybe Independent of your actual character. I once posted such a thread most answers were kind. But there were a few voices that shitted on me. And these replies stuck way longer with me.

I think it is good to do your own thing. Whether people like it or not as long as you are not breaking any rules. As in real life there will always be people that dislike and people that like you. It doesn't matter what some people say as long as other people appreciate you for who you are.

I appreciate your (including noname223's) posts. They're a welcome interruption in the normal flow of threads.
If anything, they sometime feel like publications - statements, or essays, not really encouraging discussion or interaction.

Mass posting would be an issue if you disrupted the forum, skewing narratives or silencing others through the volume of post. That's not what I see, though.

But there were a few voices that shitted on me. And these replies stick way longer with me.
I totally get the feeling, but truth is that there will always be a few who dislike you or what you do, for one reason or another.
To please everyone, is to play safe and stay invisible. Take the critics seriously, and make a decision on whether you want to change to appease them. Making everyone happy is not an option. Try to not dwell on it.
Your independent thinking and pursuit of unbiased truth, are fundamentally good things.
