I have been feeling better lately so I'll say, it does sometimes get better.

How long have you been battling your fight? What was the process? If you don't mind me asking ofc

it is always possible for things to get better but it really depends on the circumstances.

I guess. I still don't always feel good a lot of the time but it is an improvement from when I ALWAYS felt like shit. Maybe if I keep going It will get better. It's been like this for years if you wanted to know. It's only been recently where I'm starting to accept i'm probably not going to be able to CTB. I've been wanting to go for years.

How long you been battling this? And when did you realized you weren't going to CTB?

Yes. But you have to work for it. Nothing comes for free...

Takes an incredibly long time, but I think it can. I started spiralling the end of 2013 (attempted/planned to ctb 15+ times throughout 2013-2018) I'm just starting to somewhat get better, even tho throughout the day I still get dark thoughts

Recently i've been looking into the law of attraction/manifestation. It took a while to work for me cause I never really believed in that kind of stuff, but im slowly noticing positive changes. No idea if its placebo or what kind of spiritual stuff is going on there, but I ain't complaining

Mine, i don't know. But withdrawal from one of SSRI (sertraline 50 mg) and xanax makes me feel more grateful with life, and somehow it makes me feel so much better even tho i'm still dealing with my bpd. i still think about killing myself sometimes but not that much because i still remember the pain from my withdrawal.

I have been mentally ill since I was 15. I'm 29 now. I'm not sure whether my meds are just working lately. I started to feel better, decided to lose weight so went to the gym. Ended
up getting a job at the gym, I was a NEET before. I'm enjoying being slimmer and fitter. Having sex again. I feel like I have a goal and I'm making progress towards it. Maybe the exercise or eating healthy are helping my mood, too.

The physical circumstances may not necessarily get better, but I do believe that with a lot of continuous hard word and determination we can shift our perspective on our situations and cultivate different coping mechanisms for our pain

Short answer: No

Long answer: Yes, but you gotta remember that most mental illnesses are chronic. You will have to deal with these feelings for the rest of your life, especially if you have a severe case.

Consistent therapy with a good provider, good diet, a regular exercise regimen, a strong and stable support system, and sometimes medication can bring you to a point where your life is no longer held back by your issues. But you can't expect perfection. Even normal people feel depressed, anxious, crazy, etc. It's just that they can feel the feelings with minimal interference on their quality of life. Then they move on and keep living.

There's also the barriers to entry, like bad therapists, expensive meds, living in a shitty town... but it's still not impossible.

I think this sums it up nicely and briefly. We learn to adapt to our situations and find better and more effective coping strategies and mechanisms. Things of course can improve but it's all circumstantial.
