  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

@the_final_countdown I don't know for sure, but I would imagine any death that takes a while is at least unpleasant. If you want completely painless, you are going to have to jump, shoot, or find pure F. Two of the three of those are much more violent options than SN, but they are instant.

Edit: I think the exception is an exit bag, done correctly. That you just pass out and if it works, don't wake up. But there is a good chance of permanent brain damage if you do survive.

I remember I looked at jumping from about 60m for another member. The impact was well over 1000g's. That type of impact force would result in instant death. I have to see if I can find that calculator again.

I think anything over 100g's is instant, unless you land feet first. At over 1000g's even feet first is instant.

From accounts of those who've survived it and accounts from those who have watched SN poisoning take effect over livestream, it seems to really vary- the only thing you're guaranteed is that it's less painful than almost all other methods. Which, when you consider the fact alternative methods include wrist slitting (painful during) and jumping (quick death if successful, but a lot of pain if not) come with absolutely off the charts pain...it's kinda a miracle methods like SN exist.
The most common report is that it hurts and makes you nauseous, but it's not unbearable. So maybe if you want to mentally prepare yourself, think of the most sick you've felt on alcohol and add a stomach ache/amplify it a bit. That's what I've done in terms of prep. Except I'm thinking back to a specific night I had food poisoning and thought it was a great idea to take ketamine.
It's not going to be pretty, it's not going to be immediate, and it will be very uncomfortable. But I don't think the pain will rewrite any of your life's most painful physical experiences. It's just going to really suck for 20 minutes.

Hmm, I don't know. Based on what I've read the most common side effects include vomiting, burning/discomfort in the back of the throat, rapid heart rate and possibly some pain and/or discomfort in the stomach.
