Drugs like opiates or strong sedatives can help ease the pain also AE's are advised.

Yes, it does hurt especially without any supplementary drugs.

AEs will help with the nausea/vomiting. Acetaminophen helps with the headache. And benzos help with the anxiety, keep you calm to get through the side effects of the SN. From what I've seen here, it's not so much painful as simply uncomfortable. I hope that's the case as it's my chosen method.

Opiates can increase nausea and risk of vomiting I think. I'd personally use benzos since they're easier on your stomach. I'm no expert but just my initial thoughts. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Discomfort while you knowingly are dying sounds like a horror story to me. That's why the supplementary drugs are so important

how i feel about the subject, i imagine most deaths are uncomfortable, its not like everyone gets to die peacefully in their sleep.

so for example a heart attack, or cancer isnt going to be much fun. sure they can make you more comfortable in hospital if you have cancer but you might just be lying in a hospital bed for weeks, slowly dying surrounded by strangers.

at first i was obsessed with finding a quick easy painless way out but now im just more accepting now that death isnt necessarily supposed to be easy, so to not make such a big deal out of it and accept the discomfort.

Hmm.. idk. I've read hundreds of goodbye threads most of which people were live documenting it and very few people have mentioned it hurting other than their throat burning. Recently there have been a couple of people that said their stomach was hurting and there have been a few people that have mentioned headaches. Although I have read a handful of threads of people saying it was the worst thing I've ever gone through. Never do it again etc. Never know what to believe. I have personally spoken with several people who have survived though and they did not mention it hurting. Just fast heartbeat and lightheadedness.

Does acetaminophen help with headaches caused by hypoxia?

Some SN cases are painful, some cases are discomforting, some cases are peaceful. Everybody reacts different.

Here you can find description of painful cases and here peaceful and discomforting cases and symptoms.

I've been told that it makes one feel as if they have a bad hangover.

I guess I'll need to do more research then, thanks for sharing that.

Also I know you didn't ask me but acetaminophen is mostly used for headaches so I'd assume so.
