Does anyone remember where we can find here the photo and explanations about an old woman's CTB just using stockings she tied around her neck ? I've searched and didn't succeed to find back.

I remember this well. It was a reef knot she used

Thank you. Do you remember more details ? Where did she place the knot for example ? I wonder if she died by suffocation or by stopping blood flow from and to her brain...

Merci.
Anyone else remember that, please ?

It was on very tight, that's what is key with hanging or anything like that (neck). She was laying down. The knot needs to be much tighter than you think. It will hurt. A lot.

It was probably over pretty quickly for her, but I can't imagine it was painless whatsoever.

Certainly, you're right, very painful I suppose too...

Yeah, but it's over quickly, merely seconds. It is key to compress the carotid arteries, hence placing a lot of pressure on the neck = very painful. If it goes wrong, you could cause a lot of damage, but what method is without risk and painless? I understand why you'd be reluctant, however, this is my method, because although painful, it'll be over quickly.

Take SN as an example - isn't painless. It seems very trendy (not sure why, perhaps others think hanging is more painful), but from what I've read - not painless in any sense of the word - violent vomiting etc. I'd prefer hanging over that

Probably better you think it through more thoroughly before you pick a method

This will be certainly my method too, even if I failed full suspension a few days ago. Do you think this old woman was lying on her bed when she tighten the knot with her stockings ? Or another position in partial suspension ?
