I don't see how any of the things described are "not putting any effort into living". Those are effortful self-sabotage. Not putting in any effort is something different and doesn't help bring you closer to death, it just increases your overall long-term suffering.

Yes, I think many people who are suicidal, do things to try and shorten their lifespan, and hope to die of other causes, as the SI is hard to overcome which means taking our lives is hard. Personally the thing that I do is not put any effort into living which mostly is just looking forward to sleep and doing pretty much nothing. It is like I have died already.
