Does a hot bath help you? Or a hot shower? I think this is one of the best antidepressants for me. Better (faster) only alcohol works.

Definitely an hot bath was really great and relaxing. I used to take long baths with an outdoor smartphone that I only purchased for this purpose and I always played one of my Spotify playlists.

My current apartment only has a shower and the stupid heater doesn't keep an constant temperature : P

Yes, but a cold shower or bath has a somewhat better effect on me.

A few years ago a hot shower or a hot bath were the only places I could think in and it was like my therapy session. I would just go through each day waiting for when I can take a shower again so I could think about stuff.

I don't know what else to do during the day. Mornings are the most difficult. Showers help pass the time. Especially warm showers.

No, I'm more of a cold shower person. Especially during the summer time!

I used to like a nice shower, till my car crash, not my fault, and after that sometimes the pain is not bad and other times it goes through.the roof. I miss being able to relax in a bath or shower. Walter

Don't like baths but a shower can help a little sometimes though when I'm depressed sometimes I don't even want to shower at all.

I have a hot shower nearly every single day and, honestly, it does nothing to improve my mood. In my case, I take such frequent showers because I just hate feeling dirty and have a very low tolerance level for body odor. An occasional hot bath can be nice, but only for about a minute. Sinking into one can certainly feel nice, but once your body acclimates to the water, it's just boring and I usually get out only a few minutes later. Baths also suck as a means to clean oneself since you're essentially sitting in a pool of your own filth, so I tend to also have a shower afterwards, which makes baths doubly tedious.

Hot baths with Dead Sea salt are my favourite thing in the world - somehow magic n not sure why. Lots of magnesium, good for the muscles n whatnot. Great for skin.
Temperature easily controlled with the twist of a tap, huge glass of Bailey's on a ton of ice, maybe a cheeky doob on the side...
Stick a podcast on to not be alone with own thoughts - vital.
Favourite way to kill an hour.

Read something about loneliness making you take longer hot showers and baths. I usually get stuck for a long time in a shower, I usually never take baths but did today and I think it might've held the crippling loneliness at bay for a while. Today I couldn't really get out of bed or have breakfast, I suppose this will be my third day away from the gym, as well. I have no foundation for anything, whatever I decide or plan can and will be taken away from me by this loneliness.
