On my own, I actually want to stop my emotional pain, for sure. But I am also convinced since I am a kind of the irrelevance of life. I don't believe in reborn and just aim to retun to the nothingness of pre-birth.

I don't want to die, would scream it from rooftops if I could. Just want to get rid of my pain, or have a miracle give me my life back.

As for being reborn, no. I don't want to be somebody else or a completely different life, if being this is not enough to get my heart's desire from life, then I don't want to be at all.

It's a good question... I think everyone wants to get rid of the pain. In my case I see solutions in life to get rid of the pain just as temporary.

For me, go to sleep is to never suffer again… reborn… I don't know… I don't truly believe it, don't truly discredit…

Thank you all for your answers. A clarification - when I say reborn, I am just using it as a rhetorical point. Does not mean I believe in rebirth/etc. I mean if we could be reborn as something else.

For me it's the same thing, the only way to get rid of the pain is to die. Sometimes i drinke a lot just to be the real me but it is not enough, i really justr wanna end it all

I basically always lived with an emotional pain preventing me to enjoy fully anything, it grew stronger and stronger with stronger pain and stronger horrible things that are a burden to me. If it's what life is all about, trying to hide a growing burden in your head, I'd rather just return to nothingness.

To get rid of pain, of course. I remember as a teen being on prozac I wanted to die but then when I became an adult and realized that the world offered more I was much more interested. Too bad that's when the real pain began. I'd like one more chance at life and then after that, nothingness.

I don't really have pain. I just don't want to work (can't work, really) and don't want to be a tax burden either. What does one do in that situation? They take themselves out.

As for whether I want a fantasy afterlife or eternal sleep... it depends on my mood.

If I could fix the things wrong with me, I would gladly stay alive. I have things worth living for. But they can never, ever be fixed, and I can't reconcile with that fact. So while I'm going to die, it all makes me very sad.

I can't bring people back from the dead, and I can't make people want to be in my life; so, death.

I would prefer if the pain could just go away. But for that to happen I would have to go back in time and change everything about who I am. Which is impossible. So the inevitability of death is the only thing that will stop it. Perpetual sleep sounds nice, but I believe that we continue living on another plane of existence. I would not want to be reborn.
