Like in the year 10000 .
Hopefully then there will be no disease, pain, everyone will be rich, no one will have to study or work.
Maybe it's a pipe dream I don't know.

Artwork from 1,000 years ago suggests humans thought that's where we would be today, and we really aren't even close. Technology is amazing and changes our life quickly by technology can also be slower than we expect.

Who knows, maybe in 1,000 years we have nothing to worry about because humans would have destroyed themselves by destroying the environment anyway, or maybe we have accomplished space travel and found new lands. There's so many possibilities but if I had to dream, I would dream of the utopia you talked about just because I can.

Given how things are in the world currently and the problems that continue to persist, wars, famine, wealth inequality, continued stigma for mental health and many other issues, I'm more leaning on that we would either be dead by that time (or much sooner than that) so we wouldn't really exist then.

People will always commit suicide I believe. Look at all of the super rich people who are adored by millions with extremely comfortable lives and access to the best healthcare - they still make the decision that it's best to Ctb. Even with children it's not worth existing for any of that.

I think it's almost certain this species of humans will be extinct, having taken much of the Earth's biodiversity with it. I don't think we will get to a point we can support that kind of automation without ensuring extinction via famine first.

That being said, I believe people will always want to ctb unless their minds are literally hijacked. But I do believe many people wouldn't in a better world.

Statistically suicide increases each year. So perhaps in the future ctb will be far more common because people will reach an enlightenment and right to die will be acceptable. Progress seems to be moving more towards the liberal direction in regards to personal choice so this seems likely.
