Like our ancestors used to do, or living in isolation and individualism in a four-person nuclear family?

I'm pretty strongly anti-social so I doubt I would want to be stuck with the same 30-50 people for the rest of my life. I got friends that I could consider my "tribe" but idk if that's the same.

I come from cultures where community is prioritized.

I like the benefits of it (ex; being helped during hard times, the spontaneous dinners, the long chats, growing up with people) but it also feels like there hawk eyes on you 24/7, I find that communities are unfortunately filled with deeply toxic people who are codependent on others because they are allergic to being alone and minding their own business and they're highly cliquey and judgmental, especially Asian and religious communities. There's always talk about school, what you're wearing, money, gossip, and although it can be fun at first it can get draining and make you feel so shallow.

My parents are really close with my neighbors and I frankly don't have much interest in interacting with them bc I can't be myself around them and any interaction I have would just be surface level and fake, I also feel embarrassed asking them for help.

Community will die with gen z, hyper individualism has become the norm and people are too tired to maintain friendships currently. Even in cultures where community has been a staple, we can see that people have become more introverted.

I like the idea of living in a small community but I think that's an idealised view where everyone appreciates each other, and pulls their weight. I imagine the reality is more like what we have now. With a few people in charge, inequality, back stabbing and a whole lot of hard work.

I also really appreciate being alone so, I doubt I'd want to have people invading my privacy all the time.

I want to live by myself on a mountain and see other humans only when absolutely necessary.

Same, but you gotta have money, like, a substantial ammount, I moved to the mountains with my mom, and I feel even more watched here than in the city, everyfuckingone here wants to know who you are related to, where you live, what you do, chatty motherfuckers, in the city you'd be lucky someone remembering your name, here, every fucking vehicle waves at you as it passes, you can't do anything privately, it's like living in a place where everyone knows everyone, it sucks. What you'd need is enough money to not have to see your neighborgs, have everything delivered to you, and good healthcare so you don't have to go to public hospitals, and you might still carry a reputation, fucking people are the problem. In the city you had a more "fuck you I don't care who you are" and here yea, there's more community, and less chances of getting robber randomdly, but I feel like in truman show.

I would love to be in a close-knit community, of people who accept and support each other well. I wouldn't be this screwed up and prolly would have thrived. Funny it's such a huge ask. I'm not sure if you would be left behind in such tribes if you are mentally special.

Not sure I could live in a tribe. Always having to sharpen your spear and stuff. Loincloths that blow upwards and expose you as soon as there's a decent gust of wind. Plus the women have some crazy saggy droopers. Boring as it is I'll stick to a world of a/c, bras, and Kroger.

I like to slip in and out of communities. Stay in touch with the friends I made along the way. Can only stay in one place long enough before getting negative attention...or bored.

I'd like to live in a community of people who want and respect solitude, but don't want to lose the advantages of living near others (shared resources and work, getting help when needed). I wish something like that existed somewhere.

As long as the folks are open minded, loving, caring, NOT egotistical, greedy, or self-centered, I could care less.

Being with folks who make the mornings brighter and the evenings more lovely with sun setting hues of life and love is the best no matter the grouping.
