Do you have a routine/method that starts a chain reaction of good feelings and thoughts to start rolling in your head? Things that cause increased motivation, boosted mood, high self-esteem, increased "energy", etc. This is probably stupid for asking this on a suicide website.

Please share them if you have them and include details like time of day, steps, and ingredients.

I would prefer it if it wasn't drug related. You can share what you find online also.

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction
I couldn't get enough, so I had to self-destruct
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody going strong, that is when my spark got hot
Disco Inferno (Burn, baby, burn!)
Burn that mother down!

You could start by setting goals for yourself. Then you could plan what needs to be done to achieve those goals. Then set short term goals to achieve the longer term goals. Make them correspond to your ability (not hard or not to easy). You will get motivated and gain momentum as you achieve these goals.

Although I have only begun recovery, I personally feel that discipline is the key above all else once you define your values, clean the slate, and attempt to process past conditioning.

I read a book several weeks ago regarding spiritual development from a psychotherapy perspective. Discipline was small section although critically important.
He prescribed a system of discipline with four techniques: delayed gratification, commitment to truth, assumption of responsibility, and balancing.
I can't speak for others or on the universality/application of these techniques, however it got my ball rolling.

increased motivation, boosted mood, high self-esteem, increased "energy",
Exercise, sufficient sleep, supplements (if necessary), nutrient rich diet (lots of plants, healthy fats), fasting for clarity, meditation, going outside, self-reflection via reading, writing, talking to others, or creative activity, work may also be an option to get out of comfort zone and transition back into reality, challenges for brain such as learning new skill, puzzles, etc.

There's not much one can do other than remembering the difficulty of life and proceeding to live life according to your values and ideals.

I hate being given routines because I always feel even worse when I inevitably break them. Even if the reasons for breaking them were beyond my control, they still led to me feeling like an even bigger piece of shit if anything even slightly different or unexpected would happen.

Trying to figure out the secret sauce myself 4 getting thru the day. Some days, or at times, there can be a million things wrong with life, and I can somehow glide thru the day remaining above it all and feeling fine. Other days are ruined because, my ongoing and unresolved problems chip away at my mood and 'get to me'. When I'm in that state, I can become inconsolable and once I'm there, it becomes very hard to pull myself out of feeling that things aren't going to improve.
Happily, I do have plenty of things/goals to compel me to live, (family, working on business) but when I am really down, these things I perceive as having less value and thinking about them becomes almost like upsetting because, I resent and dread having to live in order to carry out my goals.
It all has become so pleasureless, I feel like the poster girl for depression having lost interest in things that I used to enjoy, check
I am still interested but there is a somber muted mood to my work as I am not truly happy inside

I don't know if this would help, but making a to-do list of all the things you know you need to do. Then killing off the one task out of it all that is the least pleasant to do. Believe it or not, the feeling of accomplishment can really make the rest of your day seem like it's going to be easy.

Finding a favorite brand/style of coffee or tea helps. Not instant though. It tastes bad, and the ritual of actually making it helps. I take forever to start the day, it's horrible, but I do get there because of my routine.
