Or at other times too. While feeling nervous maybe. I just wondered if it's something everyone experiences.

It's not that it doesn't make sense. I read it's part of the fight or flight response. The brain releases adrenalin and dopamine and blood rushes to the muscles away from the digestive system- causing that flutter.

It's weird though. I tend to have very intense limerent crushes when they do hit. I've managed to successfully divert them away from real life people for a while now. That was really awkward.

It's still amazing though- that just the thought of someone or something can cause such a big physiological response. I guess it's even worse for guys with other areas of the body getting involved! I've often thought that could be really uncomfortable at times.

I've only had one real crush (the rest were fictional characters... yeah, I know) at 25. And I definitely felt it whenever I saw him. But to be honest, it wasn't a strong crush, it lasted maybe five months, because I stopped seeing him in classes. But yeah, it's a saying for a reason. And I agree, it's definitely worse for guys, as it can be pretty awkward.
