Most people genuinely are, I think. Pretty much everyone I've gotten very close to in my life has expressed suicidal ideation or some other major problem

My deeper spiritual belief is that everyone suffers to some extent. Every single person on this world. Some is growth suffering and can have meaning and some is just meaningless, maybe due to karma or just completely random circumstances you didn't chose. When I was younger I thought only real problems are existential ones but now I don't think that at all. Suffering can mean a lot of things that we don't even see. On the outside you can appear to have everything, money, looks, but on inside you feel inadequate maybe. We also suffer for reasons we don't even know we suffer. Like a stupid person will never understand how it's to be inteligent and wise. Even if they don't fully realize, they are suffering due to their inferior nature. You can suffer for your mistakes, mistakes of others, etc...

At my best point in life, I would say my life was amazing, maybe 8 or even 9 out of 10 but I could never achieve content place in this life due to my insecurities. And I understood that. I could only be relatively happy not fully happy. Part because of my mistakes, part because of others, and part because of factors I was born with. Just how it is. But even if you not happy you can still feel fulfiled, I believe. If you think your life has purpose and you're doing good.

Yes. Everyone, even if they don't know it yet. Here's an intriguing thought, partly and vaguely based on personal experience. Let's say, for years I think things are fine. I think I'm doing basically ok. Then one day I find out things aren't what I thought they were. Someone was hiding something. Something was going on which I wasn't aware of. I was stupid. Then, all that time during which I felt things were ok, looking back, now it's all dark and twisted because now I know: it was a lie, this horrible thing was going on behind my back, etc.

Some people have really don't have any problems (by any I mean no serious problems like financial, emotional, romantic, social, familial). They are far and few.

Most people have problems tho

No. But some people have the resources and support so problems are always manageable.

If I didn't suffer from a big failure that has led to financial problems, I'd have no problems, and I could enjoy life to the fullest.

I don't think I know anyone who hasn't struggled with something at one point or another. Perhaps not to the extent they became suicidal over it but I tend to doubt many lives are all smooth sailing.

I've absolutely noticed that some people have more optimistic outlooks and presentation though so- when they are struggling, you only really get hints. I'm more drawn to the pessimists who find life difficult pretty much constantly because- I lean more that way. I tend to find, in the company of optimists, we start to annoy one another!

Same here, it could always be just me a suicidal person attracting other suicidal ppl, but quite literally every close friend of mine has been suicidal at some point

The Aliens

you may not believe it
but there are people
who go through life with
very little
friction or
distress.
they dress well, eat
well, sleep well.
they are contented with
their family
life.
they have moments of
grief
but all in all
they are undisturbed
and often feel
very good.
and when they die
it is an easy
death, usually in their
sleep.
you may not believe
it
but such people do
exist.
but I am not one of
them.
oh no, I am not one
of them,
I am not even near
to being
one of
them
but they are
there
and I am
here.

No, everyone faces problems in life. Some people are better at coping than others. There can be numerous reasons as to why. I have a genetic predisposition toward being one of those people that does not cope well. I would consider myself a sort of "blighted normie", i.e., I believe I have rubbed up against what this sort of "ease" feels like. I can tell when I am embodying it. When you are in that mode, it's hard to understand how others are not, but for me it is conditional, and sort of like a 'flow state'. I haven't felt that way in months, but I know it's possible.

That being said, I have OCD, so my neural wiring is always going to ensure that I think differently, and the content of my thoughts makes it more difficult for me to find this flow.

like snowisfalling said, everyone has their own issues to some degree. i've heard that you shouldn't compare other people's problems to your own -- 'suffering is not a competition.' i don't fully agree; some issues are harder to solve than others -- it's good to be grateful for what you have. it's easy to fall into black-and-white thinking when you're struggling, blaming yourself for not coping well enough or feeling enlightened, alienated. it's true that socio-economic status can help a lot (resources, a healthy balance between responsibilities).

Everyone deals with something, but that something for some people it's superficial level stuff.
Some insecurity and fear here and there...but that's pretty much it.
Don't wanna sound arrogant but I'm speaking from my personal experience.
