If you ctb'd and left a note that basically just said "i want to be cremated" would the police confiscate that as evidence and not show the family?

Anyone know what the policy is on that stuff?

I suppose it depends on where you live and what their motive might be for suppressing that information. Can't imagine why they'd care enough to not show your family but I'm sure weird circumstances abound and leave it to folks here to come up with strange scenarios.

Who did you hear that from? That seems really bizarre and I certainly know of many people in the u.s. states who have seen their loved ones suicide note. Also don't they have inquests in the UK where evidence is presented?

If you don't want to take the risk, write your note in an e-mail and have it set to send after your death. Your family will 100% see it and I wish the police good luck in confiscating an e-mail lol.

The police took the note I left before my first failed attempt, my family didn't even know it existed.

In another Forum were this discussed too. People how's attempts failed wrote the same as:

Wow. Thanks for the info. FWIW, Boomerang with Gmail works great for delayed emails.

hmm...I was contemplating to leave few notes about the extreme negligence and permanenet damage done to me when ""incarcarated"" in psych ward, based on phony accusations by my relative, meant more for investigative purposes, even though i know nobody cares.
I think I recall reading some notes from people that CBT in news in the past. I most probably wont do it though, cuz I suck at phrasing and I usually make the situation even worse the more i try to express.

I'm so absent-minded, I'd decide not to ctb that day, & then I'd forget to cancel the e-mail. I feel like I'd fuck that up somehow.

I hear you! Or you end up failing and get hospitalized and unable to cancel the send. Yikes.

I would've of thought in that instance they would let the family see the suicide note. I think in th UK the police do have the right to the suicide note If under certain situations like until method and circumstances of death are confirmed.

So should I hide the note at home? I'm afraid someone will find it and hamper my plans

Fair point. Don't take anything for granted. If you've been unlucky in life to the point of needing to ctb... it's unlikely that will change upon death.

I survived my od after being in the icu. The note and the rest of the pills were returned. My family knows why I want to die anyway. I honestly want them on board to agree that my life has gone to shit and since I will never get my health back it is best to end it. I don't see the problem in us saying a proper goodbye.
