do i need a grill to hold my charcoal? co method

i was just thinking about this. do i need the grill? i have a metal bucket thing that could easily hold the charcoal for this method. so do i even need the grill? is the grill just to hold the charcoal?

The grill is just to hold the charcoal. The metal bucket will do, but it should be placed on bricks or something like that, that won't burn or melt.

thank you! that's the exact answer i needed. makes things easier (and safer in my opinion, by safer i mean so my tent don't catch fire during it) and i can now give the grill to my dad for a father's day gift lol. i appreciate it
