A corpse has to be disposed of, so yes - but you can opt out of a "service" and get the basic funeral, undertaker drives your coffin into the crematorium, job done. People can attend this if they wish but it's over in minutes.

I've written an advanced directive ahead of ctb There's info online about making one. I dont think it holds any legal weight, its just a directive which is better than nothing as any bloody minded family would have to go against your wishes. There maybe legal safeguards but i dont know for sure. Ive requested that i be bagged and flamed at the crem. Only my Power of Attorney will be present and ive secured his guarantee that he will scatter me over a forest river i love. My dysfunctional family will not be there. The last thing I need is to drown in false floods of crocodile tears, which will soon dry when they find oit that ive ledt everything to an animal charity.🐱

Can you pay the undertaker to perform a pile-driver on the corpse?

That's actually my ctb method, just got to email undertaker_69 at his proton address and wire him seventy billion pesos.

Okay thanks for the info. Do you know if my express wishes though, stated before my ctb, are for people NOT to attend any ceremony, does that have any influence on the free for all 'celebration' of my life?
No control in life and no control in death 😂 suits humanity well

No, l mean you're dead, literally anyone can attend the crematorium and watch your coffin be carried in - but there's no celebration, no music, no flowers, just some grey men carrying a box from a car to a crematorium. Curtains close, job done.

Great. Cremating myself might be the ceremony that suits me best

Direct cremation. Cheapest option as far as I know. Nobody can attend as they fit you in as and when they have a space. People are free to arrange any kind of separate memorial they want.

You need to make clear what you DO and DO NOT wish for in your advance directive because obviously its too late when your dead. Wishes are just that but it does carry a little moral weight, more so than not having one otherwise dysfunctional associations may be left to sort out what they think is appropriate.

You can make stipulations about funeral arrangements in a will.
