Because I do.

It's like a weird addiction but there is something that makes me keep watching them. Maybe to somehow prepare myself for what might be, I don't know.

One particular one that comes to mind and probably one of the only ones I will never forget is the Katelyn Nicole Davis story. I cried for her when I first saw it and just by thinking about it again I am starting to doubt that 'comfort' is the right word. It's difficult to explain.

Wonder how common this is.

In some vids yes. But I do find pleasure most in torture ones.

To each his own.

I can't really watch the very horrible ones. Never clicked stuff like funkytown (you will get the reference I assume)

Can't stomach some stuff. However shootings, hanging, etc... are very interesting to me.

I do not know funkytown. But if you like videos of suicide, there are a lot of it at best gore. And I might as well agree to what you've said, that it can be an addition to your process of preparation.

No, I never watched stuff like that apart from a few links shared here. It's scary to see what will happen. We're all gonna die one day anyway so I guess it really doesn't matter.

I have a morbid curiosity about death/suicide. It is apart of suicidal thinking, preparing etc. I believe. Death is disturbing, I don't normally feel comforted by any of the videos I see. It's more like i'm torturing myself by watching them.

The murder/torture videos are disturbing, vile and mind numbing.

I tend to absorb everything that has the word "suicide" but I don't watch violent videos about people killing themselves, if that was the question. It makes you feel like you are not really alone and other people have been going through experiences like mine, so it's mentally rewarding. I still read google news from time to time (using the word "suicide").

Does anyone have a video of the SN method? Or any other poisoning for that matter.

if you are pertaining to suicide videos contained in some sites, there's a ton of it in bestgore and some in liveleak. there are also some videos posted in some threads here in this site.

I was just kidding I don't need to be watching people die. I need to stay functional enough and not get too down to be able to go through with ctb. I have to be careful with this place because it can bring u down reading too much sad stuff. I have to stay happy enuf to maintain enough motivation for a bit. Not happy but u know, just enough so that I can manage for a few weeks without slipping too far into despondency.

Yes, sometimes.
I've studied mostly those about hanging because it's my method, but I like also jumpers and train/truck hoppers.
Some is research, some is self torture, some is soothing the pain seeing that these people at the end are really dead.

I don't know if I enjoy it.

But I do enjoy some of the commentary that comes with certain videos.

I watch them for reassurance, I think I've seen all of the hanging vids on watchpeopledie. It's fascinating how quickly some of those people lose contentiousness, makes the method look unreal.
I tell myself "see, we'll be fine! we can do it!" ^_^

The only kind I've watched so far are the hanging ones. I find them comforting in that "See, this is doable, scary but doable." The only bad thing is that I end up getting suicide envy.
