Hi friends,
I haven't commented on here in a while, but today was very tough. I apologize that this is going to be extremely vague, but it's a situation that wouldn't make sense in context, and I'd just really appreciate any generic understanding response.
I'm visiting my parents for the weekend, and they happened to see something I own and made a very big assumption of me (no, it's nothing sexual). They were very upset at this completely wrong assumption and I had to have a long talk with them explaining it. They seem to understand now but were concerned I was involved in some pretty serious stuff.
As an example, imagine you bought an airsoft pistol and your parents think it's a real gun and you're committing crimes with it, so you have to explain you're not a criminal to your parents.
Seeing your parents disappointed in you is the WORST FEELING EVER. I can't get my mom's face and words out of my head and feel so ashamed even though i did nothing wrong. Hopefully it will pass. Can anyone else relate to disappointed parents breaking your heart?
