Help Dificulty finding the carotid artery

Hello guys, first post here but i have been reading posts for some time now.

I chose to go via strangulation by ligature, I have been practicing for some time but, it doesn't matter how much strength i put into it, i just can't get myself even close to passing out.
I believe this is because i haven't been able to properly find the carotid artery, i have tried on many different parts of the neck but still nothing happens.
Does anyone have any tips on how to find it?

Finding it is easy using your fingers. Just find the throbbing spots to either side of your traecea. Blocking them is the hard part, I have a hard time doing it with my fingers, much less with rope.

What kind of rope are you using? It seems like something thin would work better but that seems to be the opposite in practice. Also you need to find some padding that's the right size and density and find a way to keep it in place at the proper location.

I've been struggling with this myself for over a week now and will let you know if I have any breakthroughs. I understand how frustrating it is. I feel pretty confident I can make partial hanging work to end myself if I can just achieve unconsciousness.

Yeah, i think i was able to find them but i never really managed to block them.
For strangulation by ligature i've been trying to use a lace from a hoodie, which is somewhat thin. I also plan on doing full suspension together with it, jumping only when i am close to losing consciousness, the rope for the hanging is quite thick.

I'll try to mess around with padding a bit more, maybe that'll help

And this is with fingers, with a ligature you have swallowing and the trachea in the way.

This is the only reason why I'd love to live in America. If I had access to a firearm, I'd have been gone 6 years ago.
