I will share the details of my preferred method before my first (and hopefully last) attempt which will hopefully take place in the following days.
I know this post may be redundant, since this site has been inflated with this kind of posts, but here we are.
Method: Partial hanging
Ligature material: general-use polyester rope
Thickness of the rope: 10-12mm. I've learned that the rope must be rather thin, so the pressure is enough to close the carotid arteries.
Length of the rope: 2 meters is more than enough.
Anchor point: The metal bar in my wardrobe
Type of knot for the anchor point: Snuggle hitch. Seems to be ideal for the bar.
Type of knot for the noose: Slip knot with two turns
Position of the knot: back of the neck
Position of the noose: high up the neck. It has also been suggested to place the noose close to the base of the neck, below Adam's apple. It will be tried if the previous doesn't work.
Body position: Kneeling, leaning forward while tilting the head downwards.
No paddings will be used unless I decide otherwise, as it seems that they reduce the pressure around the carotid arteries. But they may protect the trachea so I may reconsider if that's the case. It seems that the faster you tighten the noose, the quicker you reach unconsciousness, and you avoid pain, suffocation, and head bloating for a long period of time, even though it may be painful initially. Soap may be used for lubrication of the rope so it can tighten faster. A plastic material around the neck may be used to reduce friction and avoid rope burn. A hood or a plastic bag may be used to hide the face of the corpse and/or induce asphyxiation in case something goes wrong with the setup. Alcohol may be used to reduce pain and stress although I've never drunk before, so I will probably have to do some tests prior.
Other concerns: As for the strength of the anchor point, the ligature, and the knots, I'm confident that they're sufficient as I've tested them and they can hold my weight over extended periods of time. As for the potential of being found during the process, I live alone so I have plenty of time before I get found. But I have one last concern about the reliability of my setup and it's the potential of my wardrobe tripping over, as from what ive tested, its lightweight and only requires a small force to do that. So I'm afraid that maybe during the convulsions which follow unconsciousness, I might cause the wardrobe to fall. The wardrobe is not fixed to the wall and unfortunately theres no way to do that due to the special conditions of my apartment. Another concern is the height level of the bar. Its relatively low and I can just knee or sit during the process (I cannot be standing). I could potentially unscrew and screw again the bar in a higher place in my wardrobe, but such an intervention may further affect the stability of the setup.
The rationale behind the method: Hanging is a common, simple, effective and readily available method. Partial hanging is even more available, and relatively common, although not as common as complete full suspension hanging from what ive researched. Even though some people here seem to believe that partial is more common than complete hanging, i dont think thats the case. But at least I can do it in my own home, so its easier to take the initiative, and no one can catch you during the process, or at least in my case where i live alone. The drawback with partial is that you can back out, whereas with complete hanging once you take the final step, its over. Complete hanging seems like a preferred option if you really wanna get this over with, but I can hardly motivate myself to get out of my house let alone find a place to hang. Nevertheless, Im in a city which I hardly know. Even if I live here for the past two and a half years, I dont have a single soul of companion here in order to explore the place. So I dont know where to hang. There are mountainous terrains with forests outside the city which i never explored and i dont have a vehicle to go there. I can only rely on public transportation and taxi drivers which cannot take me to a remote place without raising concerns. So partial hanging is my way, at least for now.
I don't know if I forgot something. If I did I will add it later in the comments below. So tell me what do you think about the plan? Do you have any other further suggestions?
I wasn't originally gonna make this post, as I feared that this may assist someone by giving them useful information, which would go against my conscience. But I figure there is already a ton of information on this site readily available for anyone who wants to see. I just reproduce the same information that has been shared countless of times. Like I said, this post is pretty redundant. So I may consider my contribution negligent.
