• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hoping to get a thread going of useful 'strategies' for dealing with anxieties, meltdowns and general unrest and unease

So obviously there's the bland breathing exercises
Breathe slow and deep

Focus on things. channel your perception

I tend to find being warm helps, cosy with a hot drink is soothing

But those are one size fits all first responses, what things have you guys found that helps you?

And I mean, the foundation is the inert desire to actually want to be settled and content, which is actually, fleeting in our cases if I may say

So, standards
Sleep well, eat well, exercise, change of sceneries, activities you enjoy however minimal

Have to of course address the unhelpful coping strategies
The alcohol
The avoidance
The drugs (pharmaceutical or recreational)

And a bonus, how do you psyche yourself up for something demanding, something that's making your stomach do summersaults and your hands sweat and your head hurts just at the thought

Repeating a phrase to yourself, sort of reassurances and motivators, 'you got this, you're alright, you can do this' etc etc

Just jump in the deep end.

Over to you guys, let's share our methods x

My unhelpful coping mechanism would be, sadly, - hurting myself physically. I really struggle with cuts, bruises, burns, and such things.

The nice ones are :
- Picking up a grounding hobby, like cooking or pottery
- Finding time to practice self-care
- Meditating
- Praying (if you're religious)
- Touching grass (just spending time in nature, in a garden, somewhere green)
- Reading
- Cleaning and organiaing
