Summary: Using a "Neti Pot" filled with tap water to flush your sinuses can introduce brain-eating amoebas into your nasal passage which travel to your brain. Also, the brain-eating amoebas can be had by swimming in warm lakes and rivers. Death occurs in 99% of cases. And takes usually 5 days. But contracting is very rare. Only 123 reported cases between 1962-2011. All reported cases, except 1, led to death. So, maybe flushing my nose with a Neti Pot EVERYDAY with tap water, toilet water, standing puddles outside, water from a dogs bowl! if CO in my car or tent doesn't work...
