I was reading digital newspapers from the 1880s to the 1920s.... on people drinking carbolic acid to end their lives. According to the newspaper articles.... death was almost immediate. Any thoughts or information on this?
Just browsed the net a little and didn't find anything that says it's instant or near instant. It is corrosive so you'll probably get chemical burns which sounds horrible.

Gosh, definitely not anything I'd attempt. Don't know if you've ever seen acid burns, however the thought of that hitting mouth, throat and internal organs is horrific.
