How does SN get through customs though? I am afraid that if the sender puts on the customs declaration what is in the parcel, the customs will not let it through to Austria, where it is forbidden for individuals to buy SN.

Are you sure it's forbidden? SN is basically a food preservative. It's a very common substance.

In Austria, SN can only be sold to specialised companies with a licence.
Here it is classified as a poison, a dangerous substance
