i would like to ctb within the coming month. i live in new york city, and was wondering if anyone has any advice on the most accessible ways in/around the city. i've spent a good amount of time considering my options, but i'd like others' opinions as well:
- jumping: jumping has been my top option for some time now, but i live in a low-rise building and i'm unable to figure out how to gain access to a high-enough balcony or rooftop. even though the city is filled with towers and skyscrapers, most rooftops are not public access, or are fenced/netted off.
- firearms: i would love to be able to use a gun, but i am not a us citizen, and as i understand it, this means i will be unable to acquire a gun in the country, ruling this option out.
- fsh: this and partial were my methods of choice for a while, but i live in college housing with three other roommates. it is difficult to find time when they're all out of the dorm, and i wouldn't want them to come home to my body anyway. even if i did manage to find the time alone, my building is quite old and i'm not sure there are any stable enough anchor points for fsh in our apartment.
- partial: since i don't think i have an anchor point for fsh, i considered partial from either the door or the wardrobe rail, which seems to be fairly stable. however, i know partial tends to be more unreliable, and i'm worried about failing and ending up being found out (i would probably be sent home to my family indefinitely, which is not a situation i would be able to bear.)
which of these would be my best option to go with (and are there any better options i haven't considered)? i'm down to travel upstate or to another state so long as it's accessible via train or bus. i've just been desperate for a long time now and i'm at my wits' end trying to figure this out. i just can't afford to fail and be found out and sent back from college.
